Type Form Features
General edge
Most extensively applied, applied in slot machining, side machining and
step surface machining etc. Besides, used in rough machining, semi-finish
machining and finish machining. Have many kinds.
Taper edge
Used in taper machining after general edge machining,
and used in mold draft machining and hollowness machining.
Rough machining edge
Edge is wavy, with small chip, small cutting resistance, suitable for rough
machining, unsuitable finish machining. Need to grind cutting surface
Profiling edge
The left figure is the example of mill machining round angle R.
Profiling edge, is that the edge is processed as the profile of
processed object. Mostly are special ordered products.

Right angle blade
with center hole

Most extensively applied, applied in slot machining, side machining and
step surface machining etc. Can't cut longitudinally, but because there are
2 centers to support when grinding, so regrinding precision is high.
Right angle blade that
can be cut in center
Most widely used, used in slot machining, side machining and step surface
machining etc. Can cut longitudinally, the less the number of edge,
the better the longitudinal cutting. When regrinding, it is one surface clamp.
Ball-nose blade
Must tools for curve surface. Because the chip flute is small in point,
the chip discharge is bad.
Arc blade
Used for the machining and step-feed machining of corner R. When making
step-feed machining, it can be used for end mill with large diameter even R is
smaller, to achieve high-efficiency machining.

Standard (plain shank)
Most extensively applied.
Long Holder
Applied in deep cutting. Because Holder is long, it can adjust
extension length according to the purpose.
Long neck
Can be used in deep cutting of small-diameter end mill,
also can be used in boring.
Taper neck
It can play an important role in deep cutting of wall surface
of mould's bevel angle.
